Duct - Pensive Stare (Official Video) Here’s one from Shades of Grey’s Duct. This is the official video of his track ‘Pensive Stare’ which is lifted off his EP ‘Circles’ which is out next month on Shades of Grey Recordings. Shot in New York City, it gives an abstract look of the Big Apple and it has definitely won me over. I’m really looking forward to his release and if you love electronic music, so should you!
Go follow his SoundCloud below. He has some tracks on there I’d sure you’d love.

Big up to Martyn Thomas from stitchthat.tv on the video!

LANA DEL REY, a YouTube sensation whose hit single “Video Games” which received many positive reviews, has been given a funky house makeover by the 80s house legend himself Mr Fingers.
The 9 minute long track sees her voice accompanied by a very upbeat and funky instrumental, making her soft track married to the dancefloor to be loved by many. Mr Fingers, probably known for his involvement in the 80s Chicago House movement, makes a brilliant comeback to the spotlight after so many years.
I absolutely love Lana Del Rey and this remix makes me love her even more. This is a definite recommend from YAB London.

KITES is my favourite indie electro band who strike an unseen chord when it comes to their music. I met them back in January 2011 and have been following them ever since and their video for their new single “Brother” has just been released!
The video sees Matthew Phillips, the lead singer, confront his twin self as if he’s speaking to his twin brother and also for the majority of the video singing directly at the camera as if he’s speaking to you as if he is your brother.
It’s a gripping video and the track is amazing. Have a listen (or watch!) below!
YABLDN ACOUSTIC SESSIONS: SAM LARNER //
YAB London caught up with talented singer Sam Larner who is well known by his deep voice when he sings. A brilliant performer in our eyes and is currently an unsigned gem.

BAISHE KINGS - GETTING OLD //
Unsigned hip-hop collaborative Baishe Kings (Mr. Geek & F.King Taisho) star in their debut music video for their song “Getting Old”. Directed by the boys themselves and filmed and edited by GeeboyTV, they demonstrate an American 40s style in an elevator and combine it with their own branch of hip hop to which they call “Baishe”.
Baishe Kings are one of a kind and a byproduct of the very creative South London. Their means of promotion are unique too. Advertising the video as X rated pornography on Facebook obviously grabbed the attention of many and it was witty of them to do such a thing.
Nevertheless the video and track are both incredible. I have to admit, it’s not one that strikes immediately as brilliant. But I guess it’s good not to get sucked into what I like to call “Baishe Hop” (mashup of Baishe and Hip-Hop) rapidly because getting into something quickly lacks authenticity with regards to the relationship of the genre. It took me a few listens and a couple of days in fact to fall in love with these guys’ tracks. Even though it took me a while, I’ll see myself listening to it for much much longer. I’ll love to see a CD/Vinyl release some day from them
Long live Baishe Kings. //
SEDUCTIVE - UNDERGROUND SOUND (ORIGINAL MIX) //
So I bought Buraka Som Sistema’s Fabriclive 49 compilation and just found this song after such a long time. I just played it on full volume and it was so loud that it got the parents angry. In fact, anything that gets the parents angry is a good tune. This is certainly one of them and demonstrates dirty house at its finest.
No wonder Buraka Som Sistema used it!
AUDIO DOUGHNUTS PRESENTS @ CORSICA STUDIOS (OFFICIAL VIDEO) //
Okay who remembers the video I did back in early September when I visited AD’s gig down at Corsica Studios? The event was amazing and I had to use French Fries’ track ‘Senta’ as the soundtrack of the night. You can watch the official YAB London video coverage here.
Audio Doughnuts however just released their video to the event featuring shout outs from many of the performers including The Fives, Kabuto & Crypt, Teeza, Boddika and many many more. It’s a brilliant video and beautifully edited by the guys down at We Free The Box. Such a shame the videographer himself didn’t get around to editing it. Never the less, a massive applause to AD for coming such a long way and achieving so much in such a short space of time. Big up! //

DI GRASSI DEMONSTRATES DRIVER VISION FOR THE FIRST TIME //
[Photo; Lucas di Grassi. Source: F1Fanatic.co.uk]
Pretty amazing video for Formula One fans. Even if you’re not a fan, now you have the chance to actually see what the driver sees in this video. Lucas di Grassi demonstrates driver view for the first time by attaching a camera to his helmet.
“I had to drive with only one eye open as the camera was blocking my other eye, quite tricky” said di Grassi after the lap of Circuit de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain in Pirelli’s F1 test car, the Toyota TF109.
Now we know what game develops are up against when it comes to shaders etcetera. But what I would love to see is a lap of the Monte Carlo race circuit like this. Now that would be very interesting.
THE SAVAGE NOMADS - WHAT THE ANGEL SAID //
YAB London’s Acoustic Co-Ordinator Giordano “Dr. G” Di Pino-Forino showed me this and I was totally stunned. The Savage Nomads have a sound that replicates The Kooks and on first listen I said “Damn this would sound good in the next FIFA game”.
With Artrocker Magazine saying their album is “This year’s best debut album from a British band”, this should definitely catch your ears and make you smile.
